Account Manager - Merchant Shopping

Location: Austin

 

The Account Manager – Merchant Shopping is committed to becoming a service industry leader. The Account Manager is responsible for the management of a portfolio of current brands and services, develop deeper relationships and overcome challenges to drive growth for EBG and our partners. The Account Manager will drive sales for EBG through renewing existing business, upselling additional advertising, and creating new partnerships. The Account Manager will receive the tools, training, and systems necessary for them to "BE GREAT.”


Essential Functions
 

  • Leverage relationships in an assigned set of existing accounts to prospect and close new business opportunities

  • Create and nurture long term relationships with EBG’s most valuable customers

  • Drive retention and growth among our customers by understanding their specific business needs and helping them succeed

  • Utilize resources across EBG and collaborate with others as needed to support customer needs

  • Deliver the EBG value proposition clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences within the marketing teams at local and national brands

  • Maintain an active pipeline of forecasted sales to meet quota objectives while working through each opportunity

  • Drive results in a fast paced, resource-conscious environment with a creative style and a strong vision

 

Qualifications
 

  • Education: BA/BS Degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Overall Minimum Experience: 4 - 6 years in sales and business development

  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to persuade and influence at all levels of an agency or brand

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships, while working to increase engagement, renewals and reducing churn

  • Hunter mentality with on-the-fly problem solving skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high growth company

  • Professional experience with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Empathetic, positive attitude with a desire to reach company, customer, and personal goals

  • Experience working in employee benefits or perks

  • Knowledge of affiliate marketing and employee perk platforms
