Director, IT Infrastructure

Location: Orlando

The Director, IT Infrastructure is responsible for enterprise infrastructure technology roadmap, solution architecture, vendor management, operations and governance across the organization. In this role, this position will be responsible for network infrastructure, which includes WAN/LAN, remote access, security, as well as compute and storage infrastructure including server hardware/software, virtualization, cloud and data center.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the infrastructure of the enterprise and ensure its proper operation for the company
  • Manage vendors providing IT services for the organization
  • Consult with management to understand business needs and strategies to translate into technology plans and recommendations
  • Present and recommended implementation plans to senior management including associated risks, costs and benefits for approval. Review and assess other projects to ensure that they are consistent with the target state infrastructure and are following appropriate standards.
  • Leadership of the Security aspects of the enterprise to ensure a secure systems environment
  • Produce roadmaps, with a focus on:
    • Innovation
    • End-user productivity
    • Cost Efficiency
    • Emerging Technologies
    • Technology Lifecycle (end of life technologies)
  • Provide Project Governance
  • Ensure effective testing plans are in place
  • Ensure standards are defined, documented and communicated
  • Produce executive-level business case and demand proposals
  • Develops, prepares, recommends budget aspects for infrastructure related purchases


  • Excellent knowledge in most aspects of infrastructure, security, telephony and cloud services
  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience
  • 5+ years as a manager of IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL Process Frameworks
  • Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or any other)
  • Configuring & managing LAMP technology stack
  • Should be familiar with several of the following:
    • Desktop Administration (Patching, Software Deployment, inventory)
    • Troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, netstat, iostat, sar)
    • Network protocols HTTP, SMTP, NFS, DNS, SSH, LDAP, etc.
    • OS Level patching & package management
    • Network monitoring
    • Databases (MySQL, SQL)
    • Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
    • Cloud Services (AWS, Rackspace)
    • Strong understanding of audit compliance and processes
    • Deploying/scaling monitoring solutions (Nagios, similar)
    • Designing and deploying load balancing solutions (F5, LoadBalancer, etc.)
    • PowerShell Scripting
    • Firm grasp of SSL/encryption principals and implementation
  • Unit testing, debugging, profiling, performance monitoring.
  • Azure and AWS management
  • Expertise with standard Microsoft Enterprise Platforms (Exchange, Active Directory, WSUS, SCCM)
  • Advanced expertise with virtualized infrastructure (VMware preferred,
  • Solid foundation planning/implementing Disaster Recovery, Service Continuity Management and Business Continuity Processes
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, soliciting and evaluating proposals
  • Hospitality/Entertainment experience desirable
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer related discipline desirable
  • CCIE, JNCIE-ENT, MCSE or similar certification desirable
  • ITIL Certification
  • Minimal travel required
