Senior Analyst - Sales and Revenue Optimization

Location: New York

The Senior Analyst, Sales and Revenue Optimization supports the company's analytics department by providing reporting, analysis and insights about what is driving the company’s sales and revenue performance. The Senior Analyst reports to the Director of Database Marketing and Customer Insights and supports multiple stakeholders in the organization. The Senior Analyst is proficient in multiple analytics disciplines and aspires to acquire new areas of expertise on the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting / Dashboards: Work with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to create, maintain and distribute performance dashboards for various company KPIs including Sales and Profitability, Website behavior, and Supplier Partner performance

Ad-hoc Analysis:Investigate sales performance changes, identify causes / opportunities and support resulting action items

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of relationships between pricing, site traffic and product mix
  • Monitor impact of merchandising tactics and recommend optimizations

Stakeholder support:

  • Work closely with Finance team to help understand and project sales performance
  • Assist Sales and Marketing teams with modeling and projections

Data integrity:

  • Monitor data source systems and data warehouse to ensure all updates, APIs, tracking, etc are operating as intended; troubleshoot when needed
  • Partner with IS team to implement new tools and systems

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Create and institutionalize insightful performance dashboards
  • Glean insights from data and effectively communicate opportunities to multiple internal audiences from Executive Leadership to Finance managers, Marketing coordinators and technology partners
  • Become the “go-to” resource and subject matter expert for sales / revenue data at EBG, provide excellent service to internal clients
  • Build strong, productive relationships with external partners

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 3+ years of analytics experience, including
  • Database operations
  • Data visualization
  • Statistical analysis
  • Financial reporting experience a plus
  • E-Commerce experience a plus
  • Proficiency with multiple database and analytics tools
  • Microsoft Excel and Access
  • SQL
  • Adobe / Omniture
  • Tableau
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to flourish in fast paced environment and quickly shift priorities to accommodate business needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Availability to travel approximately 1x/month
